A Case of Small Cell Carcinoma arising in a Benign Mature Cystic Teratoma of the Ovary with Metastasis to the Supraclavicular Lymph Nodes

|
The development of cancer in a pre-existing benign cystic teratoma of the ovary with distant metastasis to the supraclavicular lymph nodes has not been previously reported. We experienced a case of a 28-year-old woman with distant metastasis from
small
cell carcinoma arising in benign mature cystic teratoma of the ovary to the supraclavicular lymph nodes.
The staging laparotomy and total abdominal hysterectomy with both salpingooophorectomy were performed. There was no metastatic site except the supraclavicular lymph nodes, thereafter adjuvant chemotherapies with bleomycin, etoposide, cisplatin
have
been
doing.
We report a case of benign cystic teratoma with malignant change and metastasis with the literatures.
